STEMs Grow was founded in 2017, based on a love for science and working with children. We are a registered, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 84-3656706) comprised of scientists, educators, and youth STEM Ambassadors who enthusiastically deliver hands-on, educational STEM programming in the community.
Did you know? Only 23% of college students, and of them less than 12% of women, are pursuing STEM-based degrees in college, despite STEM jobs growing at nearly double the rate than non-STEM-based careers. To foster competitiveness and innovation, lawmakers are finding ways to inspire students towards degrees and careers in STEM-related fields.
STEMs Grow is dedicated to inspiring curiosity and confidence in elementary-aged children, and having fun while doing it! Using hands-on experiments combined with STEM lessons, your children will leave every demonstration understanding more about STEM disciplines.
STEMs Grow leverages the desire among middle and high school students for volunteerism and community outreach. It is said that to really learn a topic, teach it to an 8-year-old child. We help the older student accomplish this through our STEM Ambassador program which includes proper training in STEM and early childhood education principles.
The Result: Curious and critical-thinking young minds being fueled by confident, community-engaged middle and high schoolers, trained in STEM, to brighten our future.
